What Types of Injuries Can I Bring to the Walk-in Clinic?

Accidents happen. Illnesses come on suddenly. Time is running out to get your physical and commercial driver’s license for work. These are just some of the ways our walk-in clinic at CostCare can help. We welcome patients to come in and be seen by a health care provider without an appointment. You bypass the long waits typical of emergency rooms, and you don’t have to wait weeks for an established appointment. Most importantly, you still get expert care from a friendly, professional provider.

Immediate needs

You wake up with a searing sore throat. Your husband wakes up with hives. Your teenage son sprains his ankle at soccer practice. You need medical care, and soon, but waiting in line with people potentially having a heart attack or coming out of an auto accident at the ER seems a bit too drastic.

Issues that need care within 24 hours — the flu, strep throat, ear infections, minor fractures, rashes, and lacerations that may need stitches — are all treatable at our walk-in care clinic.

Worsening illnesses

Sometimes you have a chronic cough that just won’t go away. Or pain comes with urination and instead of getting better, it starts to feel worse. Some infections come on gradually and you think you can manage them at home — until you can’t. That’s when you really need a doctor’s care to ensure it’s not something serious, and to offer expert care or medications.

At CostCare’s walk-in clinic, you can make an appointment or just come by when your illness seems to be worsening, whether you suspect pneumonia, a sinus infection, a urinary tract infection, or bronchitis.

Persistent concerns

If you have chronic sneezing and a runny nose that you suspect come from allergies, or if you feel a worsening of your asthma symptoms, don’t wait weeks for an appointment. We welcome you into our walk-in clinic to find immediate relief.

Simple procedures

We at the CostCare walk-in clinic are here for you when you have a wart that just won’t go away, a buildup of earwax, or may have a tick embedded in your skin.

Testing for sexually transmitted diseases may be something you put off discussing with your primary care doctor, but it’s quick and easy at our clinic. Plus, it can be done if you recently had unprotected sexual relations and want immediate treatment to prevent complications from STDs or avoid spreading them to others.

Official physicals and form procedures

You may need a physical to receive a commercial driver’s license or to be cleared by the Department of Transportation. Your primary care doctor may have sent you out for routine lab testing because they don’t have onsite services. A child may need clearance before joining a sports team.

The walk-in care clinic at CostCare makes it easy to get your physical health screened and cleared so you can get on with your daily life. Walk-in or make an appointment in advance. Bring in any necessary paperwork and we’ll get you out as soon as possible. We’ll fit you in between scheduled appointments.
